Anantha is a Partner in the Corporate and M&A and Private Equity & Venture Capital practice of the Firm.
He regularly advises a diverse set of clients ranging from entrepreneurs, entities (early-stage as well as well-established enterprises) to domestic and international private equity/venture capital funds. He specializes in general corporate advisory/counseling, a wide range of transactions such as cross-border and domestic M&A, joint ventures, restructurings and partnerships, financial and strategic investments (including private equity and venture capital), business transfers and asset purchases, coupled with in-depth due diligence, as well as shareholder disputes. His expertise also spreads across a plethora of new-age and traditional sectors ranging from healthcare, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, e-commerce (wholesale and retail), SAAS, mobility, fitness, fashion, financial services, climate-tech, agri-tech, ed-tech, FMCG, IT & ITES, logistics, media/entertainment to power and renewable energy. He also has litigation experience before the Supreme Court of India. Anantha is driven by a solution-oriented mindset and leverages his strategic insights and industry experience to craft innovative solutions tailored to his clients' business goals.
Anantha was previously a partner at IndusLaw, Bengaluru. He holds a B.A.LL.B (hons) degree from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow.
Advised Blink Commerce Private Limited (Blinkit) in relation to its USD 570 Million acquisition by Zomato Limited.
Advised BigBasket in relation to multiple acquisitions of Kwik 24 (F&B vending service), MorningCart and RainCan (both involved in subscription-based delivery of daily food essentials) towards setting up of the brands ‘BB Instant’ and ‘BB Daily’.
Advised Robosoft Technologies in relation its acquisition by Technopro Holdings Inc.
Advised Sequoia Capital in relation to its exit from Vini Cosmetics by way of transfer of its shares to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). The entire exit transaction was also recognized as a ‘Deal of the Year’ in the coveted Deals of The Year list, 2021 by India Business Law Journal.
Advised Joulon Asset Management (acquisition vehicle of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts) on multiple cross-border acquisitions in the oil and gas sector.
Advised Accel Partners on multiple investments across sectors in companies such as NewMe, Portea, Mirana Toys, Virgio, Orange Health, Brick&Bolt, Koo and Fingerlix.
Advised Curefit and its promoters on their USD 145 Million Series F fundraise from Zomato and others.
Advised Zomato on their multiple pre-IPO fundraises from investors such as Temasek, Fidelity Investments, Tiger Global, Dragoneer, Kora Capital, Moore Capital and Steadview.
Advised Bounce (two-wheeler rentals and smart mobility solutions) on multiple rounds of venture capital investments (including a USD 100 Million Series D fundraise), secondary transactions, and venture debt financing from various leading investors and lenders.
Advised JusPay Technologies on its USD 60 Million Series C fundraise from Softbank and others.
Advised Virgio on its USD 37 Million Series A fundraise from Prosus and others.
Advised Mahindra Partners on its INR 206 Cr investment in New Delhi Centre For Sight.
