Rahul is a seasoned lawyer with 10 years of experience across civil, commercial litigation/dispute resolution and constitutional law matters. He regularly advises and represents major multi-national corporations, companies, banks, financial institutions, insolvency professionals and high net-worth individuals across diversified areas of practice with specialization in contractual disputes, domestic and international arbitrations, investment disputes, shareholder disputes, constitutional law, insolvency and bankruptcy laws, securitization and debt recovery.
Rahul regularly represents clients before the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Judicature at Bombay, the National Company Law Tribunals, Arbitral Tribunals (ad-hoc and institutional), Debt Recovery Tribunals and other regulatory and quasi - judicial authorities.
Rahul graduated from Institute of Law, Nirma University in the year 2015. Before joining the Firm in the year 2017, he was associated with Wadia Ghandy & Co. (Ahmedabad) in their litigation and disputes resolution team.
Advising and representing private equity funds managed by IL&FS Investment Managers Limited in their claim for damages of over 100 crores in an Indian seated international commercial arbitration.
Advising and representing Thermax Limited before the High Court of Judicature at Bombay in an application filed under Section 34 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 challenging the award passed by a sole arbitrator.
Representing Patel Engineering Limited in a writ petition before the High Court of Judicature at Bombay in respect of challenge to the constitutional validity and vires of retrospective insertion of Explanation to Section 80-IA of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
Representing the Board of Control for Cricket in India before the High Court of Judicature at Bombay in respect of question of coverage and applicability of provisions of the Employees State Insurance Act, 1948.
Representing directors of a mutual fund investment company before SEBI and SAT in relation to a show cause notice issued in respect of their redemptions in mutual funds.
Advising and representing the liquidator of Roofit Industries Limited in a Civil Appeal before the Supreme Court of India.
Advising and representing the liquidator of Aaj Ka Anand Papers Limited before the High Court of Judicature at Bombay and the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai.
